This interesting and challenging role will see the chosen candidate support our business development activities, focused on new customer opportunities (but also some wider opportunities with existing customers). Successful candidates will be enthusiastic and customer focused with very good communications skills. They will be able to work well individually, using their own initiative. They will be comfortable working with all levels of seniority, possess a fantastic work ethic and sense of fun and be able to work well as a team member.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the Business Development (BD) team and wider Executive Board, including setting up BD meetings (internally and with customers), following up with customers/potential customers and liaising with internal contributors to such meetings.
- Provide the BD requirements for the Customer Relationship Management CRM workflow which will support the BD process, liaising with Software Development. Ensuring that all BD opportunities are inputted into and tracked through the (CRM) system once created and using said system for query analysis and reporting.
- Helping to ensure a consistent BD approach to all customer opportunities.
- Helping coordinate pricing proposals, bid submissions and RFP responses, including project managing internal activity to ensure timelines are met.
- Helping to maintain our repository of BD collateral/materials.
- Developing and maintaining a compelling library of BD material for use by our BD team, adapting this for different target sectors/regions.
- Ensuring that input into BD opportunities follows internal process in conjunction with Operations, Finance, Software Development, IT, Legal, Compliance and any other relevant functions and helping to continually improve our processes.
- Helping us reach and penetrate our target customers; the candidate will research and follow our target customer organisations and key individuals within them.
- Helping with research and preparing presentations.
- Supporting Riverview Law’s business development activities generally though the provision of all other relevant assistance.
Experience:
Previous relevant experience preferred but not essential.

- This role may also be suitable to trainee solicitors on 3-6 month basis as it will cover the following Practice Skills Standards: (a) Client Care and Practice Support and (b) Communication skills.

Other requirements:
Ability to work flexible hours and locations, including occasional overnight stays as required.
