These are exciting opportunities to join a fast paced, fast growing legal business. These interesting and challenging roles, based in Wirral and Manchester, will see the chosen candidates providing dedicated legal work for FTSE 100 clients of Riverview Law. A background in commercial contracts law is not a pre-requisite for these roles; we welcome applications from practising solicitors, who have an interest in pursuing a career in commercial contracts law, regardless of what discipline they currently practice in. We will provide all the training and tools required to make the transition to a commercial contracts lawyer.

Successful candidates for this position will work well individually and as part of a team and will demonstrate our values daily. They will be inquisitive, enthusiastic to learn, comfortable working with all levels of seniority and possess a fantastic work ethic. They should have a proven track record of delivering the highest quality customer service by delighting customers at every opportunity and be ready to be proactive in helping our business grow and move forwards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice, drafting and negotiating on a full range of commercial contracts
  • Regular contact with clients
  • Creating and implementing templates and processes
  • Performing legal and compliance due diligence analyses
  • Maintaining accurate management information
  • Motivating and inspiring the team to embrace the Riverview values

Education / Qualifications

  • Educated to degree standard
  • Completed LPC and training contract or equivalent
  • Admitted to the roll of England and Wales

Skills and experience:

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Sound legal knowledge
  • Taking a lead role in advising our customers under appropriate supervision
  • A proactive, positive, “can do” attitude
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of data management
  • Good IT skills on the Microsoft Office suite
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • The ability to manage a diverse workload and pressures, taking responsibility for own workload and being mindful of others workload
  • Ability to analyse the root cause of issues swiftly and effectively
  • Enthusiastic team player who is comfortable with our flat structure and confident working with people at all levels
